- I guess this is as timely as ever with the release of RR Host 1.3 and
- the lack of the desired desk accessory support. Don't know if others
- have discovered this or not as I don't normally monitor Freesoft.
- .
- You can call up desk accessories within RR Host. What you need to do is
- run Loftus Becker's application FKEY Maker. This creates a file of
- FKEYs of your DAs in your System File. Then move the DA FKEYs you want
- to use into your System file with Carlos Weber FKey Manager 1.5. Do not
- use the Dreams of the Phoenix FKEY installer because the created file
- is a multiple file and you have to renumber the FKEY. Experienced
- ResEdit users can move the FKEYs with ResEdit though it is a bit more
- difficult.
- .
- With the installed FKEYs you can call up the DA even though they aren't
- supported under the RR Host Apple menu. If you are one to want to use
- the mouse you can configure Pop-Keys which comes with the FKey Manager
- 1.5. I put the Pop-Key in a square box just to the left of the Apple in
- the menu. It's invisible so read Weber's docs for detailed explanation.
- .
- If you want support of ALL your DAs you might explore Key Strings 1.1
- <RETURN>, <S>croll <Q>uit ?
- which supposedly enables you to create more FKEY slots or you could
- simply use the Other... command within Pop-Keys. All of these files are
- on GEnie CMUG I believe.

- The Current version of Fkey Manager is 1.7 and seems to support some
- of the items that 1.5 does not I guess. I'll have to check out the
- FkeyMaker, sounds like a good work around.....Norm..
